L’équipe et le conseil d’administration du Mois de la Photo à Montréal sont heureux de vous convier au lancement de la publication « La condition post-photographique », le mardi 2 février à 18 h à OCCURRENCE.
En présence du commissaire invité, Joan Fontcuberta, cette soirée sera l’occasion de célébrer cet instant décisif de la biennale 2015 dans une ambiance chaleureuse et festive ! La publication, richement illustrée, contient des essais du commissaire et de quatre auteurs réputés, ainsi que des reproductions des œuvres des 29 artistes participants. Cet ouvrage de référence majeur propose des analyses critiques de la condition post-photographique, explorant la communication et la transmission de données visuelles dans le cyberespace, les frontières de la réalité virtuelle, ainsi qu’Internet comme nouvel espace public au sein duquel la prolifération des images reflète et façonne le monde.
Plusieurs auteurs et artistes seront également présents.

The team and the Board of Directors of Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal are delighted to invite you to the book launch of « The Post-Photographic Condition » on Tuesday, February 2 at 6 pm at OCCURRENCE.
Please join us and 2015 guest curator Joan Fontcuberta as we celebrate this decisive moment of the 14th edition of the biennial in a warm and festive atmosphere! Richly illustrated, the publication is comprised of essays by the guest curator and four renowned authors, as well as colour reproductions of the works of the 29 artists exhibited in the biennial. This major reference work critically investigates the post-photographic condition, exploring communication and transmission of visual data in cyberspace, the boundaries of virtual reality, as well as the Internet as a new public space in which the proliferation of images reflect and shape the world.
The launch will also be attended by several authors and artists.
