Territories under Observation
A group exhibition of Canadian artists presented in Mexico

Museo Raul Anguiano, Guadalajara

6 May to 18 May 2023

Festival Cultural de Mayo

Museo de Arte de Quérétaro

29 June to 8 September 2023

Territories under Observation, curated by Lili Michaud, brings together the work of artists Eruoma Awashish, Michel Boulanger, Renée Duval, Jessica Houston, Yoanis Menge, Normand Rajotte, and Anne Ramsden. Contributor Mona Hakim has written the essay that accompanies the exhibition.

“Despite clear differences between their individual aesthetic approaches, these artists react to nature’s state of vulnerability and imbalance from their own introspective and contemplative perspectives, establishing a close connection to their subjects of investigation, through critical thinking and social consciousness or through acts of morphing – something that happens when art comes into contact with natural phenomena.”
